Farmers’ Market bounty – first weekend of June

So it’s been a few weeks since the farmers’ markets opened in Ottawa and as usual, things are a bit slow in May. The stalls are a bit sparse – heck, the market is a bit sparse (less stalls earlier in the season) – but it is nonetheless very exciting walking around and seeing new vegetables arriving with every week. This is our bounty from the first weekend of June. Our CSA shares start at the very end of June so things will really pick up by that time.

Lettuce, radishes, asparagus, and chard

We also got a dozen eggs, some cheese (gift for friends), and some sausage. Mmmmmm all so very delicious!
